My Top Resources To Design a Website from Scratch
In my previous blog post, I shared my web design secrets. I know as a previous DIY myself, it can be hard trying to figure out how to design a website from scratch.
In today’s post, I’d like to share my top four design resources that, I still stalk for fresh and new ideas.
Design-Seed
A fabulous website to get colour inspiration from. You can search palettes by themes or colour values. It helps you understand how designs use pictures for inspiration and how colours can work together.
Creative Market
Has some gorgeous design elements, photo’s, flourishes, vectors, fonts, and templates. Plus so much more, I use them for various design projects. They have a great search function and I have found all the sellers have been responsive to queries.
Divi WordPress Theme
This is my WordPress theme of choice. It is totally customizable. It’s easy to use for beginners and has the flexibility for advanced users. There are tons of great tutorials for Divi as well. This theme is fast becoming the “go to” theme for many entrepreneurs.
Canva
This is a great on-line software to use to create images for social media posts and websites. I also love that it has a combination of free and paid for elements. Each paid element is just $1. You only get charged when you download the image. They also have a great blog section on all things design.
